The Apocalypse

| After these things I saw [a vision]. A door was opened in the sky and I heard the former voice which spoke to me like a trumpet saying, "Come up here and I will show you what is to happen after these things." | ||
| Immediately I fell into a trance. Look, there is a throne in the sky and someone seated on the throne. | ||
| The one seated on the throne had the appearance of jasper and carnelian stone. A corona encircled the throne with the appearance of emerald. | ||
| Encircling the throne were twenty-four thrones. On the thrones were seated twenty-four elders dressed in white robes with golden crowns upon their heads. | ||
| From the throne went forth peals of thunder. There were seven firey lamps burning before the throne which are the seven spirits of God. | ||
| Near the throne was a glass basin like crystal.
Before the throne and round about it were four creatures filled with eyes in front and back. |

| The first creature had the appearance of a lion, the second of a calf, the third had a face like a man, and the fourth was like an eagle.in flight. | ||
Each of the creatures has six wings encircled and full of eyes. They never cease day and night saying,

| When the creatures ascribe glory and honor and thanks to the one seated on the throne who lives forever and ever, | ||
| the twenty-four elders prostrate themselves before the one seated on the throne who lives forever and ever and cast their crown before the throne saying, | ||
